Remembering you

I woke up late this morning. I couldn’t pull away from my dream. You finally showed up and met me at the beach. The one where the waves crash and we watch with delight. The storm approaching, bringing darkness and fright. But you and I watch with glee knowing the rain will shower over us. We love when the clouds sing in their tune so glorious.

You take me by my hand and we traverse to our cottage. A room with no walls to take in natures offerings. We sit hand in hand and eyes looking fondly. I shed my tears which mend with the rain that calms me. You find my tears and kiss them as they run down my face. The salt mixes in with the oceans on your lips. Your tongue moistening their shape. You wipe my cheeks and share the salt with me. And we fall away right where we’re supposed to be.

As I drift to sleep in this memory behind my eyes, your shadowed face no more. You shine in the light. I’m pulled away from my moment of remembrance. My love, my heart my everything…one day they will accept us.
