Darling Deer

As time passes I realize I’m not losing myself by staying connected to you. Rather; I am discovering the lighter side of me. The one who loves without condition and follows blindly.

You told me you weren’t deserving of such love. That there was something wrong with you and surely I’d run. But the only direction I want to run is straight to you for an embrace as one. Where our tears meet like opposing tides colliding. Where our hearts beat against the other so finely.

When I get to hold your beautiful face I intend to speak without words. Just grace and kind eyes. The stories we no longer want to hide. The park that we met holds all of our secrets. The whispers and promises and how we intend to keep them.

I’ll meet you in red, as our moon shines full. I’ll recycle my cup for the sake of a drowning flower. But you should keep yours.

I love you most, my sweetest friend.
