It seemed a normal day—groundhog like in its own way. My tasks, completed. My day nearing its end. Then you show up. With well wishes into the year and my life just began. Things started shifting, bending and evolving. I moved with the wind instead of letting it blow me. I spent my nights looking at the beauty that surrounds me. I was just different and it was astounding.
Then we hugged and time stood silent. Your heart on mine is all I’d ever wanted. To breathe you in and hold you so closely was to defy all rules and do so boldly. I’ll never forget the look in your eyes, as you opened that door and saw me smiling wide. I’d do anything to keep you near me. You’re my prize, my treasure, and I love you dearly.
